Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes the Gunners could be looking to add two new strikers this summer, with Ipswich’s Liam Delap one of them.

The 22-year-old scored his 11th Premier League goal of the season in Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Wolves amid links with a number of other Premier League sides and Parlour has backed the Gunners to make a move for the player, believing he can improve.

Parlour said of Arsenal’s แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ forward recruitment: “Who are you going to bring in? That’s the problem they’re looking for. The team has to look at their scouting network and see who they can bring in. I’m sure there will be good moves. The board know they need a forward.”

“There has been talk of (Ollie) Watkins, he would be a good fit. I don’t know how much it would cost. The club needs to fix things quickly. They have good players and you just need someone who can put the ball in the goal.”

“You asked for Thierry Henry when I was playing, but players like that are not easy to find. That’s why they ask for big prices. That’s why they get big wages.”

“With the scouting network, they have to work hard – Delap is maybe a player you can take and develop. I don’t think you can rely on him to win the league, but I like the way he plays. He’s got energy. If you can teach him, get the best out of him and improve him, he can be a good player for the future, but right now they need a quick fix.”

“Isak is the perfect option but Newcastle don’t want to let him go. He would cost a lot of money. You could bring in two strikers and Delap could make an impact off the bench. If he can develop like Miles and Vaneri, he will get regular games.”

“They are the type of players you should try to develop. Miguel gets the best out of young players. I don’t want to see Ipswich get relegated, but if they do, they might have to try to sell Delap.”
