Rio urges Pogba to try out with the Red Devils.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has advised Ruben Amorim to give Paul Pogba a chance to return to training with the team and see if he can help the team.

    The Frenchman is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Juventus. He was previously ban for four years for doping but appeal to have the ban reduced to 18 months. He has been able to train with the club since last month and is eligible to play again in March.

    “You would think he would go somewhere, of course, he would go somewhere,” Ferdinand told Rio Presents.

    “Pogba to United? I will try to get him in the team and train with us and see what he can bring out. I’ll do that. I’ll get him training, get fit and we’ll see.”

Stormzy was heavily involve in United’s grand unveiling of Pogba following his return to the club in 201, wearing a United shirt with ‘Pogba’ on the back in a video filmed for adidas and the club.

There are not thought to have been any talks between United and Pogba’s representatives at this stage.

With United’s current financial situation, the club focused on young, cheaper talent in January while actively looking to lighten their bloated wage bill.

A move for Pogba would be at odds with that new strategy.
